Van Cleef & Arpels Dazzles Us with its Charm

To celebrate the opening of the Van Cleef  & Arpels Maison in Hong Kong, the Parisian house of high jewelry challenged its artisans to create a sublime piece of work. The result, as you can see, is the Ballerina Dancer necklace.

Taking inspiration from the grace and elegance often associated with a ballerina’s movement, the high jewelry set spins a tale of opulence and spontaneity. Collectors of beautiful things and keen observers will recall that Van Cleef & Arpels created its first set of jewels dedicated to dance in 1940. The new Ballerina Dancer takes pride of place amongst these icons.

A Mysterious Charm

The Maison’s distinctive Mystery Setting technique is once again brought to the fore. Each stone is meticulously hand-selected according to size. The setting, without any visible prongs, spins a gossamer web of rose gold, upon which each stone is worked into place.
