Located in Lake Tahoe Nevada the Tranquility Estate is the epitomy of what owning a luxury home is really about. At a cost of $100,000,000 the 210-acre palace is currently owned by Joel Horowitz, co-founder of Tommy Hilfiger. There are eight buildings and 38,000 square feet of living space. It is the third most expensive house on the market in the U.S.

Can’t make it to the course? Tranquility has two over-water par 3s as well as a simulator. The refurbished version comes complete with a ballroom, conservatory, 100-foot-long ballroom and 475 feet of oceanfront. At the center of the property is Lake Tranquility, a private lake stocked with brown trout. The owners wanted the main house, which
has nine bedrooms, 14 full baths and five half baths, to look like it had been there for 100 years. The dining room features 300-year-old plank flooring reclaimed from a French manor. There is also a conservatory, accessed by an underground passage, which features an indoor swimming pool and spa, poolside bar and exercise facilities. In addition to the theater, cigar lounge and gymnasium, there is a wine cellar that can hold 3,200 bottles. In addition the estate is outfitted with a large garage to make the trip home much more than just a pleasant return.
